Insight and Equipping

The Christian who wrestles with a secret, ongoing sexual problem fights a lonely battle. While painfully aware that his sin is damaging every part of his life, he’s also unsure where he can turn for help or, for that matter, whether or not such help is even available.

Insight  Genesis offers Biblically-based pastoral counseling in response to this need. Through in-person, telephone, e-mail sessions, or Two Day Intensives, our clients receive insight into the nature of their behavior, the relational conflicts that may be aggravating it, and its impact on themselves, their loved ones, and their relationship with God.

Equipping  They also receive equipping, through the tools we provide them with, to once and for all abandon the behavior that’s derailed them, then manage their temptations, moods and mindset. We also offer books, resources, seminars, blogs and podcasts to provide equipping experiences for churches, schools and organizations.

Help for Families  And since sexual sin is a family problem, we also offer consultations for spouses and family members affected by their loved ones’ actions.

Reclaiming Godly Sexuality
In the book of Genesis we read that when God surveyed all He’d created – including the sexual union between man and wife – He declared it to be very good. But sin, both through its inborn nature and its practice, has perverted what was once good into something that has become a source of tremendous pain and confusion. What was lost needs to be found, which is why “Reclaiming Godly Sexuality” isn’t just a saying at Genesis. It’s the God-ordained goal our clients strive for. And it’s our pleasure to partner with them as they achieve it.
